History Dakine

Dakine is an American brand specializing in the production of sports equipment and accessories for outdoor activities. Founded in 1979 on the island of Maui, Hawaii, by Rob Kaplan. The company initially manufactured windsurfing equipment, but quickly expanded its range to include backpacks, bags, snowboard and surfboard cases, clothing and accessories.

In 1986, Dakine moved to Hood River, Oregon, to be closer to the mountain areas and expand its activities to winter sports. The brand became known for its quality, durability and innovative solutions, which allowed it to gain popularity among extreme sports enthusiasts around the world.

Today, Dakine offers a wide range of products for surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, skiing and other outdoor activities, maintaining a commitment to high standards of quality and functionality.
