SRAM is an American company founded in 1987 in Chicago. Starting with the release of the innovative Grip Shift gear shifting system, SRAM quickly gained popularity. In 1997, the company acquired chain manufacturer Sachs, and in 2002, shock absorber manufacturer RockShox, which expanded the product range. SRAM continued to introduce innovations such as the XX1, Eagle gear shifting systems and eTap electronic systems.
